Samuel Ace is a trans and genderqueer poet and sound artist. He is the author of several books, including Our Weather Our Sea (Black Radish Books, 2019), Meet Me There: Normal Sex & Home in three days. Don’t wash. (Belladonna* Germinal Texts, 2019), and Stealth, cowritten with poet Maureen Seaton (Chax Press, 2011).

Ace is a recipient of the Astraea Lesbian Writers Fund Award in Poetry and a Lambda Literary Award and was a National Poetry Series finalist. He has received fellowships from the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Astraea Foundation. His work has been widely anthologized and has appeared in Poetry, Aufgabe, Fence, We Want It All: An Anthology of Radical Trans Poetics (Nightboat, 2020), Troubling the Line: Trans and Genderqueer Poetry and Poetics (Nightboat, 2013), BAX 2016: Best American Experimental Writing, and other journals and anthologies. 

Born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio, Ace was educated at Yale University and the City College of New York, CUNY.
