Fortune’s Wheel

Fortune’s wheel turns with thunder’s sway
I’m seventeen, homeless, can you help me
With a dollar

Seventeen, dollar
Homeless, dollar
Help me, dollar
The mighty wheel rumbles beneath
Streets paved with grime and magic

Heard, seen, but not helped
Seventeen grumbles
Got to get off this train

The city pitiless, the city cashless
The wheel’s roaring
Doll smashing, dog lashing, lights limn
Avenues paved with magic and time.
