Brand Guidelines for Our Partners

The Poetry Foundation is honored to support our grantee-partners and their work to advance poetry and the literary arts. We encourage partners to highlight our support using the assets below. The following guidelines apply to print materials and digital usage of the Poetry Foundation’s logo and marks by grantee-partners and media partners.

Use of the Poetry Foundation Name and Mission

If the Poetry Foundation’s name is to appear in print, please use our full name as “the Poetry Foundation” or “Poetry Foundation” and link to our website: https://www.poetryfoundation.org/.

Grantee-partners: When describing the Poetry Foundation, feel free to use the following messaging, which includes our mission, adapted to be in the third person:

This program is made possible with funding from the Poetry Foundation. The Poetry Foundation recognizes the power of words to transform lives and works to amplify poetry and celebrate poets by fostering spaces for all to create, experience, and share poetry. The Foundation strives to achieve this through an array of programs and publications designed to develop new audiences, create innovative avenues for delivery, and recognize and support all forms of poetry. The Foundation’s grantmaking initiative actively seeks to build equitable practices and share its resources ethically within the poetry ecosystem to achieve this aim.

Clear Space

Including clear space around the logo is important to ensure that the logo is always legible, especially in contexts where other logos are present. Clear space is built in around the logo files provided. Do not place any elements within this space.

Minimum Size

It’s important that the logo always be featured at a size that is large enough to be legible.

For this reason, two versions of the logo have been created: the standard version, which will apply to most applications, and a smaller version that has been optimized for use cases where the logo needs to be smaller at 1.5"- 0.75” in height.

Do not use the logo at a height of less than 0.75". If you require something smaller than 0.75", you may email Fred Sasaki to request the standalone Pegasus symbol.
